The contractor shall install 5/8" fire-rated Type X drywall on all demising walls, with batt insulation in the stud cavities and acoustical sealant at all perimeter joints. All electrical boxes must be fitted with putty pads to maintain the fire rating.

Excavation shall be performed to the required elevations, with continuous footing dimensions of 24" width x 12" depth, reinforced with #4 rebar at 18" O.C. both ways. Concrete must achieve 4000 psi compressive strength at 28 days, with 4-6% air entrainment for freeze-thaw resistance.

Install self-adhering ice and water shield on all roof deck valleys, eaves, and penetrations. Underlayment shall be ASTM D226 Type II, fastened with capped nails at 6" spacing. All roof jacks and pipe flashings must be counterflashed and sealed with polyurethane caulk.

All ductwork shall be sealed with mastic and insulated with R-8 fiberglass wrap. Provide fire dampers at all penetrations of rated assemblies. Install 1/4" compression fittings on all condensate drain lines with proper pitch and venting to prevent air locks.

All structural steel shall conform to ASTM A992. Connections shall be designed as fully restrained (FR) moment connections. High-strength bolts shall be ASTM A325, installed with turn-of-nut method to achieve required pretension. All welds shall be inspected by UT or MT methods as specified.

Place concrete in continuous operations between construction joints. Consolidate by vibration during placement. Cure concrete by moist curing for minimum 7 days or apply curing compound. Slump shall not exceed 4 inches. Test cylinders shall be taken and tested per ASTM C31/C39.
